Our Goal.

As a breed club, the GRCB aims to preserve and improve the 'Golden Retriever' breed. On one hand, by informing its members and enthusiasts about various topics that are relevant to Golden Retriever owners in the broadest sense of the word. We aim to engage Golden Retriever owners and introduce them to the various dog sports for which the Golden Retriever, in addition to being a pleasant companion, is well-suited.
We assist members who wish to breed a litter with advice and guidance (members must request this themselves) and inform future and new puppy owners about the upbringing, socialization, and possible training (through sessions and workshops) of their Golden Retriever.
All of this with the goal of promoting the well-trained Golden Retriever as the ideal dog, both in the world of dog sports (e.g., exhibitions, hunting, obedience, etc.) and as a delightful family companion, loving with both the owner and family.

Advantages of membership are:

  • Opportunity to participate in all activities organized by the Club.

  • Member discount for some activities organized by the Club.

  • A copy of the Club's annual magazine.

  • Breeding advice and puppy placement, provided the conditions are met.

  • Listing of the stud dog on the Club’s website (for a fee and provided the conditions are met).

  • Opportunity to attend informative lectures.

  • Information obtained through various cynological bodies, clubs, and associations.

  • Support when possible and needed.

Our activities:

The annual calendar of the Golden Retriever Club of Belgium may change each year. The list below is not binding nor exhaustive.
We aim to organize a CAC Breed Specialty, Young Dog and Veteran Day, Working Test, Field Trial, Walks, Informative Sessions on relevant topics, and a Breeder’s Committee.

Information

Our members receive a variety of information via our bi-monthly newsletter. This includes our official announcements, relevant articles, and announcements of our activities. In addition, the GRCB provides an annual magazine.

Becoming a member

Each candidature should be filled out on the online form. This application, signed by a godmother/father –member of the club will be presented during the next board meeting. The annual subscription fee is € 40 for active members and € 13 for accompanying members.
